Local Lifestyle

Just as the homes have been preserved in Quogue, so have the natural habitats of the area. Pristine parks and beaches are well-kept and clean. The Quogue Wildlife Refuge is one of the biggest draws in the community that helps make this effort worthwhile. Residents enjoy hiking and adventuring along the trails and taking in the impressive scenery.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

With the intentional decision made by the community to keep the historical accuracy of the area, there are not many establishments to shop and dine in Quogue. However, there are some choices in town and nearby that will suit your needs.
Beth's Cafe is a go-to spot in the neighborhood for fresh smoothies. Many enjoy dining in for breakfast, with fantastic choices like quinoa porridge, lemon ricotta pancakes, avocado toast, and a Greek omelet. For lunch, patrons prefer fish tacos, a lobster roll, a grilled avocado sandwich, a Greek salad, or a tuna melt.
The Quogue Club is the community hotel with lots to offer. Here, you can take advantage of the full fitness center, join yoga classes, or get a massage. There is also a dining club that boasts fresh fare made from local catches, as well as a carefully curated wine list.
Quogue Market is the neighborhood grocery store. Pick up your fresh produce and other foods to craft your own delicious concoctions at home. The market also offers ready-made deli selections for a quick pick-me-up for lunch.
When you need to shop for new wardrobe selections, make your way to Westhampton Beach to explore the offerings at Saltwater Long Island. They provide beachwear, fall favorites, accessories, and more. If you prefer a variety of options in a mall setting, then Village Square in Eastport is one of the closest possibilities.

Things to Do

Visit the Quogue Wildlife Refuge for a chance to hike and explore nature. An education center is on-site to provide insight into the importance of wildlife preservation and the animals who live there. Numerous habitats and native animals can be seen when you visit. There is also a beautiful butterfly garden to explore.
The Quogue Historic District features many established homes. The area itself is a sight worth exploring. You can take a tour with the Quogue Historical Society to learn everything there is to know about the community and how it got its start.
Hampton Theatre Co is a performing arts venue in town. It opened in 1984 and has been the host of many plays and shows throughout the years. Auditions are often held so that anyone with experience can try out to join the next show that will be featured there.
Quogue Village Beach is a public beach for all. Soak up the sun and sand, or get out on the water. Alternatively, you can join the Surf Club of Quogue or Quogue Beach Club.
